These events enable individual families to partake in our Group Education Offerings and Group Education Rates, without organizing a group!
Wednesday, April 17th
11:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Amazing Animal Adaptations
1:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Keys to Identification
Amazing Animal Adaptations
Recommended Grades: K-5th
Check In- 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM
Program- 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Working in teams, students will learn to identify different skeletal and external adaptations that help animals survive. This program uses a combination of skeletal and non-skeletal specimens to practice critical thinking skills!
Keys to Identification
Recommended Grades: 6th-12th
Check In- 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM
Program- 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM
Working in teams, students will use dichotomous keys to identify mystery animal skulls! Students will practice the scientific method, critical thinking and simple mathematics during this hands on investigation.
