What does admission cost? What are your hours?

Adults ages 13 and up are $10.00
Children ages 3 through 12 are $8.00
Children under 3 are free with a paid adult

The Museum is open: 
Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm 
Saturday from 11am-5pm
Sunday from 1pm-5pm
 

Holiday Hours:

The Museum is closed on Christmas Day, Thanksgiving Day, Easter Sunday.

We are open from 11am-5pm on all other holidays.

Are your skeletons real?

Yes, our skeletons are real! Roughly 98% of all items on exhibit are real. Replica pieces are labeled with a red dot.

Do you have any dinosaurs on exhibit?

No, we do not have dinosaurs on exhibit. Most of the skeletons you see are from animals still living today.

Is there a place to eat at the Museum?

Yes, we have a covered picnic pavilion behind the Museum. It seats roughly 80, and is available on a first come, first served basis.

Do you sell food and drinks?

We do not sell any food, but we have bottled water available for $1.00 in the Museum’s gift store.

Do you allow food and drinks in the Museum?

We do not allow any food or drink in the Museum. Feel free to enjoy your food and drinks at our covered picnic pavilion behind the Museum.

Do you offer a group discounts?

Yes! We offer a discount for groups of 20 or more. Please call or email us at Education@skeletonmuseum.com or 405-814-0006 ex. 120, for more information and to reserve this rate. 

 

Do I need a reservation to bring a group to the Museum?

On particular days, the Museum happily welcomes large groups of children. We want to make your visit as enjoyable as possible, and can reserve you a day and time that best meets your needs as a group. For example, many of our senior citizen groups will request to visit when the Museum has few groups scheduled. Educational programs in the classroom must be booked in advance however.

Do you offer any type of educational programs for school-age visitors?

Yes! We offer educational programs to students in Pre-K through 12th grade. Many of our high school programs can be adapted to meet the needs of our local community college organizations. Most of our classroom programs last 30-50 minutes depending on the grade level.

Do you offer outreach to local schools and daycares?

Yes!  Our museum educators will come to your school or other public institution to teach one of our many programs. Outreaches are all hands-on, and each program will include real bone specimens for students to examine.

Do you offer memberships?

Yes! We sell Individual, Family and Extended Family memberships. Purchasing a membership can save visitors money if they intend to visit several times a year. Our memberships also make excellent gifts!

Do you have a gift store?

Yes! The Museum has a gift store which offers a variety of items to interest osteologists of all ages! We offer a wide array of educational items, teaching tools, books and various gift items. We are truly one-of-a-kind, and we’re sure you’ll find something you’ll love!

Do I need to pay general admission to shop in the Museums gift store?

No! Feel free to stop in and shop at any time. The gift store is open during regular Museum hours, and visitors may shop without touring the Museum.

Do I have to pay for parking?

Absolutely not! We have a large parking lot and available parking in the rear to accommodate buses, motorcoaches and other oversized vehicles.

Can I make a donation?

Absolutely! The Museum relies solely on general admission to educate and serve the public. Your donations help to make the Museum a better place, and we appreciate all contributions!
